Tuolumne County Bar Association; Patrick Angermiller Memorial Scholarship One $1,000 scholarship for a student who desires to attend law school. Preference given to students who desire to practice in Tuolumne County, with a high GPA and financial need. Submit the standard scholarship profile and a personal statement. Summerville El Alumni– Several awards of approximately $150 for students who graduated from Summerville El and are planning to attend college in fall, 2017.  Scholarship Profile Due to Mr. Atkins by April 21.

 

Summerville Athletic Boosters – $500 scholarship from the Summerville High Athletic Boosters for an athlete with a minimum gpa of 2.5. Application and personal statement due to the address on the attachment by April 21

 

Richard Kuebler Memorial ScholarshipTwo $1,000 scholarships available. Submit a scholarship profile and one page essay that describes how theater has impacted your life to Mr. Atkins  April 24th.

Acts of Kindness Scholarship$1000 Due April 24th. Turn in scholarship profile to Mr. Atkins AND 1. Describe random act(s) of kindness you have contributed toward fellow Summerville High School students. 2. Must be an individual act, not group act as part of a club or organization. 4. Columbia Jr. CollegeFULL RIDE Front Porch offers a “full ride” of $6,200 for 10 students attending Columbia Junior College. See link for requirements and selection criteria. Due to Mr. Atkins by April 26th.

Major Lucas “GAZA” Gruenther Legacy Foundation Scholarship– Due April 14- $2222.22- This scholarship has been set up to honor the memory and life of Major Lucas “GAZA” Gruenther a 1999 Summerville High School Graduate. One scholarship in the amount of $2,222.22 will be awarded to a Senior at Summerville High School who emulates Luc’s spirit and tenacity for life. Must maintain a 2.0+ GPA. Elks Lodge Most Valuable Student Scholarship– $200-$50,000

Local level, state, and national. Most people who apply locally get at least $200! The 2017 Most Valuable Student scholarship contest is open to any high school senior who is a US Citizen. Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need. The 2017 MVS application deadline is November 30, 2016.

Hint: It helps to volunteer at your local Elks Lodge! You will have a very good shot at $500.

The Fisher & Talwar $1,000 Legal Inspiration ScholarshipDue Nov. 15, 2017 plan on pursuing a college degree. To qualify for this scholarship:

  1. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  2. Must be a full-time student who is currently attending (or planning to attend full-time) an accredited institution of higher education.
  3. Must provide proof of current enrollment or plans to enroll in an accredited institution of higher education. If you have not received acceptance, you may still apply, but be sure to provide proof of acceptance and enrollment for the scholarship to be released.

CACESF California Association of Collectors Educational Scholarship Foundation is offering a total of six scholarships—three to high school juniors and three to graduating seniors. DUE March 30 First place winners will receive $2,500, second place winners will receive $2,000, and third place winners will receive $1,500. To apply, students must submit an original essay on the following topic: The importance of establishing and maintaining good financial credit during your college years. Fresno State– Full Ride: To apply for the Smittcamp Family Honors College – President’s Honors Scholarship, completion of the three applications below is MANDATORY.  The application process is sequential— each application must be completed in the order below:

  1. California State University Undergraduate Admission ApplicationOctober 1, 2016 to November 30, 2016.  Due to the large number of applications received, applicants are strongly encouraged to apply in early October.
  2. Fresno State Scholarships ApplicationOctober 1, 2016 to December 8, 2016 (deadline for President’s Honors Scholarship applicants).
  3. Smittcamp Family Honors College-President’s Honors Scholarship Application October 1, 2016 to December 8, 2016. This is a firm deadline.

National Young Arts Foundation Scholarship– Due Oct. 14th

Details of grant– The National YoungArts Foundation provides emerging artists (ages 15-18 or grades 10-12) with opportunities to work with renowned mentors, access to significant scholarships, national recognition, and other opportunities throughout their careers to help ensure that the nation’s most outstanding young artists are encouraged to pursue careers in the arts

Seattle University- Sullivan Leadership Award– this scholarship covers tuition, room and board for each of four years of undergraduate study at Seattle University and is awarded to nine incoming freshmen each year. Students must apply for Early Action by submitting a complete admissions application in addition to the Sullivan Leadership Award application. The deadline for both is November 15, 2016.
