Burger King Scholarship– Due December 15, 2017 $1,000 to $50,000 and are intended to help students offset the cost of attending college or post-secondary vocational/technical school. Recipients are selected based on their grade point average (GPA), work experience, extracurricular activities and community service.

The Fire: Free Speech Essay Contest– Due Dec 31. $10,000, $5,000, $1000, and $500 prizes.

Medical Assisting Scholarship Award-  Due December 31. $2000 Video Essay Scholarship Competition

2017 Future of Assisted Living Scholarship– Due December 31, 2017 A $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to three (3) individual students who write the most compelling essay as judged by SeniorAdvisor.com staff.

 The Eugene McDermott Scholars Program– Due January 3rd-  University of Texas at Dallas is one of the nation’s most generous and selective undergraduate merit awards.

Valued at more than $250,000 (out-of-state) or $150,000 (in-state), the scholarship includes tuition, stipend, study abroad and professional development funding.

San Joaquin Engineers Council ScholarshipDue January 13, 2018. $2000 to 5 students

The Gettysburg College STEM Scholarship- Due January 15th. Must be applying to Gettysburg College. Scholars will consist of a select cohort of First-Year students enrolling in the fall of 2018 who intend to earn a bachelor’s degree in one of the following STEM disciplines: BiologyBiochemistry & Molecular BiologyChemistryComputer ScienceMath, and Physics. Through a generous grant from the National Science Foundation and Gettysburg College funds, need-based financial aid grants will meet the full demonstrated financial need for STEM Scholars.

Centre College Premier Scholarships– Must apply to Common App by January 15th and scholarships by January 20th. $$ Full tuition and Full-Cost Scholarship Programs. Brown Fellows, Grissom Scholars, and Lincoln Scholars.

Flavorful Futures Scholarship– Due Feb 15. 5 $5000 scholarships. Specifically for high school seniors, celebrates individuality and creativity. Based on academic achievement and creativity of submissions.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund– Opens Jan 6- Deadline April 26th-$500-$5000

  • Must be of Hispanic Heritage
  • Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for High School Students
  • Plan to enroll Full-Time in an accredited, not-for-profit, 4-year university, or graduate school, during the FALL of a scholarship cycle (year)
  • U.S. Citizen, Permanent Legal Resident, DACA or Eligible Non-Citizen (as defined by FAFSA)
  • Complete FAFSA or state based financial aid application (if applicable)

Elks Club Legacy Scholarship– Due February 2, 2018. $4000.  For children and grandchildren of living Elk members in good standing.

Sonora Lions Club Student Speakers Contest- Feb 14th. Multiple levels, $100 local and up to $21,000 national level. See Mr. Atkins to sign up. The topic is “Integrity and Civility Play What Role in Today’s Society?”

Italian Catholic Federation Scholarship– Due March 15. Requirements. 3.2 GPA  and meet one of the following sets of requirements 1) Are Roman Catholic AND of Italian descent OR 2) if either Roman Catholic parent, guardian or grandparent is a member of the Italian Catholic Federation, the student must be Roman Catholic but need not be of Italian Descent. Jennie Evans and Linda Linda Duff Memorial Scholarships–  (TCAR) Due March 16, 2018. Application is attached  1. Pursuing a career in the business field. 2). Full-time student at a community college or accredited college or university. 3). Two letters of recommendation from instructor, counselor, etc.

AFC Visionary Scholarship– Due May 1, 2018- $5000 See website

Athnet Sports Recruiting Scholarship– Due June 1. $1,000 scholarship available to future college students who play or have played sports at the high school level. This years high school seniors are eligible to apply if they will be attending college next year.

DAR Scholarship- Daughters of the American Revolution– NSDAR awards multiple scholarships to students showing dedication to the pursuit of degrees in diverse disciplines including history, law, nursing, and education.

 

PAST DUE- 2017-2018 Scholarship Season

Central Valley Automotive Scholarship– Due Dec. 1, 2017.$5,000 for the Gold winner, $3,000 for Silver and $2,000 for Bronze – to a Stanislaus, San Joaquin, Merced, Calaveras or Tuolumne County high school football player. Must be high school seniors and played varsity football in Fall 2017, plan to attend a two- or four-year college full-time. 2.5 GPA.

Elks Club Most Valuable Student- Due November 27. Ranging from $1,000 per year to $12,500 per year ***Awarded more points if you have volunteered at Elks’ events. SIXT Scholars Program- Due November 30th- 5 students $5,000 toward their study at any 2 or 4 year accredited university

Stokes NSA Scholarship– $30,000. Due Nov. 15th. Year round salary while attending college. Seniors who plan to major in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering.

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship-  Due Nov. 14th Up to $40,000 per year to attend a four-year accredited undergraduate school

    • Earn a cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.5 or above
    • Significant financial need
    • SAT combined critical reading and math score of 1200 or above and/or ACT composite score of 26 or above
    • Demonstrate significant unmet financial need. We will consider applicants with family income up to $95,000. However, we anticipate that a majority of scholarship recipients will be eligible to receive a Pell grant

The Fisher & Talwar $1,000 Legal Inspiration ScholarshipDue Nov. 15, 2017 plan on pursuing a college degree. To qualify for this scholarship:

  1. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  2. Must be a full-time student who is currently attending (or planning to attend full-time) an accredited institution of higher education.
  3. Must provide proof of current enrollment or plans to enroll in an accredited institution of higher education. If you have not received acceptance, you may still apply, but be sure to provide proof of acceptance and enrollment for the scholarship to be released.
  4. Must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA.

CACESF California Association of Collectors Educational Scholarship Foundation is offering a total of six scholarships—three to high school juniors and three to graduating seniors. DUE March 30 First place winners will receive $2,500, second place winners will receive $2,000, and third place winners will receive $1,500. National Young Arts Foundation Scholarship– Due Oct. 14th

Details of grant– The National YoungArts Foundation provides emerging artists (ages 15-18 or grades 10-12) with opportunities to work with renowned mentors, access to significant scholarships, national recognition, and other opportunities throughout their careers to help ensure that the nation’s most outstanding young artists are encouraged to pursue careers in the arts

Seattle University- Sullivan Leadership Award– this scholarship covers tuition, room and board for each of four years of undergraduate study at Seattle University and is awarded to nine incoming freshmen each year. Students must apply for Early Action by submitting a complete admissions application in addition to the Sullivan Leadership Award application. The deadline for both is November 15, 2016.
